The Health & Safety Executive has announced it will be carrying out livestock inspections around the country as part of a 12-month program to help farmers achieve compliance with the law, and to help reduce deaths and serious injury to their workers and the public from the risks connected with livestock.

The HSE has recently published a guide called ‘What a good farm looks like’
This sets out the common risks it has identified to health and safety on farm. The guide summarises its expectations for control measures for cattle.
