Herefordshire members are invited to attend a pre-harvest health and safety event on 5 June, starting with registration at 8.30am.
Here’s what is happening on the day:
- 9am |Safer Farms, Safer Communities: Institution of Occupational Health, with Vice-president Dr Gary Latta (35 mins)
- 9.35am | Discussion Panel: with Sam Durham, NFU Chief Adviser (Land Management), John Campion, West Mercia Police & Crime Commissioner, and Frank Cannon, Rural Safe Guard (40 mins)
- 10.15am | Engagement with Herefordshire Fire Service: with Dave Swallow (45 mins)
- 11am | Practical Session: Midlands Air Ambulance, chainsaw safety and pesticide handling systems (45 mins)
Refreshments on arrival at registration, a certificate of attendance and NRoSO or BASIS points are available.
If you have more than one person attending with you, we ask that you please try and car share where possible. Herefordshire NFU are holding a free summer health & safety event for members at Holme Lacy College on 25 June from 12.30pm until 4:30pm.
