Join one of the 2-day hedgelaying courses in Herefordshire, run by countryside expert Richard Clarke (Really Rural) and hosted by CPRE Herefordshire.
These practical, hands-on courses are perfect for beginners. You’ll learn how to manage and rejuvenate overgrown hedgerows using traditional techniques – improving structure, encouraging new growth, and boosting habitat for birds, insects, and small mammals.
What you’ll get:
- Step-by-step guidance from a professional tutor in a small group of max 12 students
- All tools and safety gear provided
- Traditional countryside hedge laying skills you can apply in your own garden or land

- January course dates: Thurs 15th – Fri 16th or Sat 17th – Sun 18th
- February course dates: Tues 3rd – Wed 4th or Thurs 5th – Fri 6th
- 10am to 4pm each day
