| Join other grassland managers on Thursday 10th July at Boycefield Farm courtesy of Lucinda, Billy and James Lewis for a chance to see a variety of different grassland types and discuss how these are helping to build resilience within their grazing system.
The farm walk will take in a mix of herbal leys, permanent pastures, and a recently restored area of native species rich grassland. Points for discussion will include: How the different grassland types are managed through cutting and rotational grazing. Establishment techniques, challenges and successes for both the herbal leys and native species rich grassland. The thinking behind having a mix of grassland types including: Reducing input costs Building soil health and resilience to weather extremes Accessing agri-environment grant schemes And more…. Refreshments will be provided.
