Event Details
Herefordshire Rural Hub subscribers are invited to a free, half‑day workshop exploring the potential for alternative proteins to fortify or substitute soy in UK poultry feed.
With increasing pressure on soy supply chains and growing environmental and regulatory scrutiny, this event will focus on the practical and policy realities of adopting novel feeds in commercial poultry systems. The workshop will bring together poultry farmers, agronomists, feed specialists, regulators and policymakers from across the UK to examine what is working, what isn’t, and what would need to change for wider uptake.
Topics will include feed performance, economics, supply chains, regulatory barriers, and on‑farm decision‑making, with discussion covering insect proteins. The day will be highly interactive, offering attendees the opportunity to contribute directly to shaping future research priorities and regulatory thinking.
Attendance is free and travel costs will be reimbursed.
